Wolf Puppies Are Adorable

Alice Stevenson, the seven-year-old daughter of editor/ journalist Peter Stevenson, wrote this haiku, which I include in my corporate communication workshop
(Can You Haiku?):

Animals are cute.
Even the ones with rabies.
This haiku is done.

In today's NYT, in the headline of an article by James Gorman, I saw echoes of Alice's observations: 
Wolf Puppies Are Adorable. Then Comes the Call of the Wild.

So, in honor of Alice Stevenson, James Gorman, and cute animals everywhere, today's NYT-inspired haiku:

Wolf puppies are cute.
Then comes the call of the wild.
